HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXERCISE???

Hi friends, as you all know that Activense works on the philosophy of EARN i.e. Exercise, Attitude, Rest and Nutrition, let’s go to the top most asked question regarding exercise and that is HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXERCISE??

Am I working hard enough or is it too much? What exactly should I do cardio, or weight training?? Oh God!! It’s all so complicated. Did these thoughts come to your mind any time?

Well the answer will be different for everyone depending upon various factors.

When planning your ideal workout week, there are 5 key points that need to be considered. They are:

  • How big is your goal?
  • What is your time frame to achieve this goal?
  • What is your age and current fitness level and strength. Also do you have any injuries or health conditions?
  • Are you balancing out the rest of your life, or just focusing on one area?
  • Are you just binging on delicacies and living a largely sedentary lifestyle? It’s important that input needs to balance out with output!

If you’re a relatively healthy 30 year old female who spends a good amount of time desk bound at work, you often deal with work and personal stress and want to lose 5kg of body fat healthily over the next 2 months… Then assuming your nutrition and sleep are fairly good, I would recommend completing 3-4 x 45 minute workouts that are a mix of cardio, strength and mobility. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is the most efficient way. Train smarter, not harder.

It is recommended that you make an effort to be active for at least 45 – 60 minutes per day even if you are not exercising that day. This could be just a walk.

Resting your muscles for recovery is of utmost importance after weight training.

Good luck!! Hit your goals and live an Active and Sensible life!
